I really like this publix. They are so much nicer and more helpful than the others in the area.
The employees and management in the Deli section of this Publix do not live up to the Publix standard. That is the only reason I am rating this location so low. The workers in this section are consistently rude and very unprofessional. My husband and I shop at Publix weekly for most of our grocery needs. We generally eat at the deli on the weekends. During the last couple of months, the customer service has been extremely poor at the Tucker location's deli department. Yesterday, we went to get a sub and one of the sub makers joked with the other one and said that she wasn't good at making Philly Cheesesteaks (while we were right there ordering a Philly Cheesesteak!). Everyone should be proficient in making the top-menu items, especially if you've been there for a while (how do you show up to work every week and not perfect your craft?). You also shouldn't be joking around like that in front of customers; it's rude and unprofessional. In addition, they do not keep their work area very clean. They always let a plethora of toppings like olives and onions get inside of slots that they don't belong in. I understand things happen, but these workers are so lazy, that they don't take the time to pick things out that don't belong. The last two times I've eaten here, there were olives in my food, and I didn't ask for any. Toppings with very bold flavors should constantly be kept out of other slots so that customers get the meal they ask for. Even if something gets in the wrong slot, you shouldn't put it in someone's meal unless they ask for it (it only takes a second to pick it out). Customers shouldn't have to tell you how to do your job, the management should. Lastly, speaking of management, there is a major time-management issue with the employees in the deli section of this location. They do not balance making online orders well with taking the clients in front of them. Sometimes, if you are next in line, they purposefully try not to look at you or acknowledge you just to make themselves look busy making "phantom" orders. Someone needs to seriously review the deli department here. It's gotten out of hand and does not live up to the Publix standard.
The service was phenomenal. Special thanks to the manager of the meat department and the rest of the workers who were very nice. They made my huge purchase very quick and efficient. Definitely will be coming back and recommending it to people I know
A wonderful store to shop at! Though, I will not use this locations pharmacy again.
